What if you threw a party and nobody came? Of
course that doesn't really happen, but it's one of those little
nagging thoughts that can spoil the fun of planning your special
event. An effective party invitation will go a long ways to help
you make sure you have all the guests you want.
| Here are a few ways to make your party
invitations dazzle. |
| |
Make it as bright and colorful and attention-getting
as possible. Make it standout from the other messages we all
get in our mailboxes.
|
| |
Use the envelope to carry a teaser for what’s inside,
to let recipients know that what they have in their hands is
very special and very important. |
|
| |
If your party or event has a particular theme, try to find
a way to make the invitation and the envelope reflect that theme.
For example, put your invitation for a Valentine's Day party
on a red heart and decorate the envelope with hearts and cupids.
Or, if it's a masquerade party, make the invitation on an appropriately
shaped and sized mask, complete with eye holes! |
|
| |
Make sure to include very clear directions to the location
of the party, and a small map as well. |
|
| |
Make it as easy as possible for the recipient to RSVP. Let
them do it by phone, email, text message, or perhaps even a
postage-paid card that can simply be dropped in the mail. The
easier, the better. |
|
| |
Be sure to mention any unusual activities or attractions that
recipients will enjoy at your event. If Elvis will be there,
let them know! |
|
| |
Remember, the more fun and exciting your invitation, the easier
it will be for the recipients to realize your party will be
the same way. |
