Do you service my area?
The majority of our deliveries take place in Pierce and South King
Counties. We do deliver to other areas when possible, especially
for multi-unit rentals. Because we have the largest selection of
Jumparoo bounce houses in
Washington, we try to make ourselves available.
Do you deliver and
setup the equipment or can I pick it up?
State law only allows for trained personnel to setup inflatable
rides. Our crew will deliver the inflatable rides and set them up
for proper operation. Instructions and safety procedures will be
explained during setup. However, customers do have the option of
saving money by picking up other items themselves like dunk
tanks, carnival games
and concession rentals.
Do you do last minute
rentals?
Yes we do. We’ll try our best to fit you into our routes.
Just remember that the selection may be limited.
Can you setup at parks?
Yes. Make sure to get permission from the park and confirm they
have sufficient electricity within 70’ of the inflatable rides.
If power is not available, you will need to rent a generator from
us or supply your own. See the onsite requirements.
There is an additional park fee of $25-$50.
Is the equipment supervised?
The rental cost does NOT include an operator. As an adult must always
supervise the usage of an inflatable unit, customers commonly have
their volunteers monitor the equipment’s use. You may request
one of our attendants to monitor the equipment or supervise the
event, at an additional charge. Events with more than 5 large inflatable
units may require hiring one of our supervisors.
How much space is
needed?
Most items online display the amount of space required. This is
not the unit’s size, but the space it needs to operate safely.
What age and how many kids
can jump at a time?
For most of the standard sized Bounce
Houses and Combos you
can have (6-8) five-year olds. Add another rider for the slightly
larger Funhouse bounce house. For older kids, decrease the number
of riders. Much of it depends on how excitedly the kids are jumping.
The bounce houses and combos are designed for kids 12 and under.
The interactives, some
of the slides or obstacle
courses are designed for adults.
| What
are the onsite requirements for bounce houses and other rides?
|
| Site: There
must be cleared access route (3' min width for bounce houses,
4' for larger units) from our vehicle to your site. |
|
|
Stairs, steep banks or a narrow
pathway can cause delays or possibly prevent equipment setup.
The site needs to be flat and level. The space requirements
are listed online and on the invoice for each item, including height.
Automatic sprinklers must be turned off. If equipment is wet
from sprinklers there will be an additional drying charge. See
Additional Charges under Customer
Policies. |
| Ground Surface:
Though grass is best, inflatables may also be placed
on wood chips, concrete or any smooth surface. The site |
| |
area must be clear of protruding rocks, debris,
pet droppings and any objects which may interfere with the use
of, or cause damage to, MMI equipment. Placement of equipment
on dirt, sand, bark or grass clippings will incur a cleaning
fee. The surface choice (switching from grass to concrete, for
example) may not be changed once our crew leaves the warehouse
as specific anchors are used for each surface type and may prevent
setup. |
| Power:
Inflatable rides require a dedicated standard 120v outlet within
70 feet of the inflation fan. NO EXTENSION CORDS ARE |
| |
ALLOWED. Check your power availability, especially
at parks, before your event date. If adequate power is not available
contact our office prior to your event date for the availability
of renting our generators. The quantity of outlets needed is
listed on the Invoice under the item. For customer-supplied
generators, they must be at least 3500 running watts per outlet
needed. Call for details. (Concessions and non-rides may use
an extension cord of at least 14 gauge wire.) |
| The Customer
or their representative: There must be an adult available
onsite to sign our Rental Agreement / Liability |
| |
Release form and to direct where the unit
will be setup. This is a standard agreement that includes, but
is not limited to, your agreement to follow the rules of safe
operation, to care for the equipment, and to assume all liability
for any injuries or damage that could occur while the equipment
is in your possession. Everyone who rents equipment from us
is required to sign this agreement. Additional costs may be
incurred if our crew must wait for the customer or their representative
to arrive at the site. |
| Operation
of Equipment: Our crew will give you instruction on
how to properly operate the equipment and emergency |
| |
procedures. Customer must supply the number
of adult attendants listed on the Event Notes to monitor the
equipment. Follow rules listed on the front of each ride and
written on the back of the Liability Release. Remember to play
safe while playing at your own risk. |
What about weather conditions?
Because Washington weather is so unpredictable, we recommend customers
have an alternate plan in case of adverse weather. On the event
day MMI staff will make the decision on whether the weather conditions
require equipment substitution or if the equipment cannot be used.
Jumparoo bounce houses with an added rain cover are often used in
rain shower forecasts. These bounce houses, if available and appropriate
for participants, may replace larger, inflated rides like Obstacle
Courses, Interactive and Slides if there are rain shower forecasts.
The cost difference will be given as a credit to the customer. In
the case of severe weather conditions including high winds and heavy
rain, inflatable rides may not be used outdoors unless protected
from the elements. In this instance, with MMI staff approval, an
MMI credit for the amount paid will be issued to the customer (see
Policies for credit details).
Once our personnel are en route, customer assumes all risks associated
with weather-related delays and/or interruptions of the equipment
or service.
How long can I rent
the equipment?
The standard rental periods for deliveries are 4 hours, 7 hours
and 2 day. This is the playing time. Setup and take down are not
considered part of this time. We offer overnight and after-hours
rentals when available. For items customers pick up the rental period
is generally 1 day. The Prices
page has more details.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured. As with any piece of rental equipment the customer
is responsible for its usage and care.
Is your equipment
safe and clean?
We only purchase inflatable equipment made by reputable manufacturers.
All of our inflatable rides must pass an annual inspection performed
by a state certified ride inspector. Our equipment is cleaned and
checked for each rental to ensure it is safe and clean for riders
to enjoy. During setup our crew will inspect each unit for damage,
cleanliness and safety prior to use.
Are there specials
or discounts?
We offer a discount for rentals at home parties, schools and non-profits.
For multi-unit rentals and other high-volume work we often offer
discounts. Check the prices and specials
page for details.
May I tip the performers
or delivery crew?
Tipping is always appreciated and always optional. The amount generally
ranges from 5%-20%
How can I make my
party even more memorable?
We offer a variety of fun activities to keep your party guests happily
entertained. Add
Fun Foods: Popcorn,
Cotton Candy, SnoKones
Professional Performers:
Clowns, Party Pals, Characters, and more!
Games and other Equipment:
Obstacle Courses, Slides, Carnival Games, and more!
What if one child
at the party is "afraid of clowns"?
Although our clowns are designed to be kid-friendly, there still
are children, and a few adults, that may have an initial fear of
them. Our usual method is to focus on entertaining the other children
until the frightened child becomes more at ease with the performer.
Unfortunately, the images of clowns in the media and scary Halloween
costumes have created a few obstacles to our performing. We continually
endeavor to overcome those issues and win over every audience. We
often hear, "I liked THAT clown" as we are leaving.
